A battle color ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Marine Aircraft Group 39 is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at MCAS Camp Pendleton.

Col. Matthew T. Mowery, commanding officer of MAG-39, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker for the event.

Retired Brig. Gen. Michael J. Aguilar, former deputy commander of Marine Forces South and commanding general of Fleet Marine Forces South, is scheduled to attend.

The event will include a cake cutting ceremony and rededication of the MAG-39 colors.
