January is Customer Appreciation Month

January 14 is the start date for Customer Appreciation Month. The 60th Force Support Squadron will thank its customers by offering $1,000 in prizes for 18 days. The squadron is responsible for more than 22 retail and childcare facilities at Travis and 12 are participating with featured deals, discounts, contests and specials.

"We are always saying thank you to our customers for shopping on base, but 2012 was an exceptional year and we wanted to do something that shows them how much we appreciate their loyalty," said Brain Floyd, 60th Force Support Squadron deputy director.

Everyday customers will get something free during the entire three week period.

· Monday's- Outdoor Recreation will offer free ski or snowboard trips for the first 20 people that sign up for a ski trip scheduled for Jan. 26. In addition, they will offer a contest for free ski goggles. Child Development Center No. 1 will have a prize wheel for discounts on child care and the Fitness Center will hand out free passes to fitness classes.

· Tuesday's- Outdoor Recreation will offer a contest for Disneyland tickets for two. Auto Hobby gets in the act with a buy-one-get-one deal. The first 10 people that purchase an oil change will get a coupon for a future oil change. Also, Child Development Center No. 2 will spin the wheel for additional discounts on child care.

· Wednesday's- Travis Bowl will offer free bowl games for the first 200 people from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. and Aramark will be handing out $25 food gift certificates to a few lucky customers at random throughout the day. Child Development Center No. 3 will get its turn to spin the wheel for discounted child care.

· Thursday's- Cypress Lakes Golf Course will offer free golf to the first 10 customers with a Department of Defense ID card and a contest for a new set of golf clubs valued at $800. In addition, Aramark will be handing out $25 food gift certificates to a few lucky Cypress Lakes' customers randomly throughout the day. The Youth Center will have its turn at using the prize wheel to offer discounts on child care.

· Friday's- Outdoor Recreation will have a contest for a free Napa Wine Train experience and Hilton Hotel tickets for two.

· Saturday's- The first 20 people to sign up for Big Game Days at Outdoor Recreation get free paintball coupons and masks for Xtreme Paintball. Cypress Lakes Golf Course will again offer free golf for the first 10 people with a DOD ID card and highlight a contest for a free set of golf clubs, valued at $800. Also, Aramark will be handing out $25 food gift certificates to Cypress Lakes' customers randomly throughout the day.

· Sunday's- Travis Bowl will offer free bowling for the first 200 people that visit from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. while Aramark will again distribute $25 food coupons to bowl customers throughout the day.

Customer Appreciation Days will run from Jan. 14 through Jan. 31.
