Every reasonable effort will be made to develop and maintain sound community relationships by supporting community events. However, due to mission requirements, we will not be able to support every request.
All requests must be submitted using the appropriate forms, in accordance with the timelines listed below. Unless otherwise noted, all requests should be directed to the I Marine Expeditionary Force CommStrat Office. They can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 760-763-7047.
To request aviation support, complete the DD Form 2535(Request for Military Aerial Support) and submit it to the Headquarters Marine Corps(HQMC) Community Relations Branch at email@example.com. Do not fax requests. To ensure your request is received and processed, please include the asset requested, the date and location of the event in the subject line (i.e. F/A-18 Request-25July2014- Washington, D.C.). To confirm receipt or for any questions, call HQMC at 703-614-1034.
To request non-aviation support (ground equipment, color guard, 3rd MAW Band or Marine Corps speakers) for a community event, please download the DD Form 2536 and email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Aviation (Flight or Static): Submit request at least 90 days prior to event date. Requests will be directed to the Headquarters Marine Corps(HQMC) Community Relations Desk.
Non-Aviation Static Displays: Submit request at least 60 days prior to event date.
Personnel (to include parades, demonstrations and personnel to man static displays): Submit request at least 45 days prior to event date.
3rd MAW Band: Submit request at least 45 days prior to event date. Requests will be directed to the 3rd MAW Band.
Color Guard Detail: Submit request at least 30 days prior to event date.
