Master Gunnery Sergeant Shawn K. Robinson

Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson was born in Landstul, Germany.  He enlisted in the Marine Corps on September 3, 1996 and attended recruit training at MCRD, Parris Island, SC. Upon completion, he attended Marine Combat Training with follow-on orders to NAS Meridian, MS where he earned the MOS of 6672, Aviation Supply Specialist.  He then reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 12, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan.  He deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in support of Operation Desert Fox in the defense of Kuwait where he was promoted to Corporal.
 
In July 1999, Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson was transferred to Marine Aviation Training Squadron 203 Fleet Readiness Enlisted Support Team, MCAS Cherry Point, NC where he served as the Aviation Supply Department and Aviation Marine Awaiting Training Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.  He was transferred in July 2001, to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13, MCAS Yuma, AZ where he deployed to Marine Corps Forces Central Command, Manama, Bahrain as Beach Detachment Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge in September 2002.  In February 2003, he was redeployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan where he participated in Operation Enduring Freedom.  During this period he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant.
 
In August 2004, Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson executed orders to Headquarters Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, VA to assume the independent duty assignment as Superintendent Naval Aviation Readiness.  In January 2006, He deployed as part of the Defense Logistics Agency Contingency Support Team, Afghanistan where he served as the Senior Enlisted Adviser to the Detachment Commander.  In March 2006, he was redeployed to Defense Logistics Agency Contingency Support Team Iraq to serve as the Customer Support Representative for Multi-National Forces-West.  Upon his arrival to Al Taqqadum, Iraq, Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson was embedded with Army Material Command and First Marine Logistics Group to provide logistical support until July 2006. 
 
In July 2007, Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson was transferred to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13, MCAS Yuma, AZ where he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.  He served as the Ground Safety Manager, Squadron Gunnery Sergeant and Supply Response Division Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge.  He was transferred in September 2010 to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 11, MCAS Miramar, CA where he served in multiple Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge billets.  During this period he was promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant. 
 
In August 2013, Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson transferred to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 12, MCAS Iwakuni, Japan where he served in multiple Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge billets.  Subsequently, he assumed the duties as the Aviation Supply Chief.  He was transferred to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24, MCB HI in August 2016.  In April 2019, he was promoted to his current rank and assumed the duties and responsibilities as the Aviation Supply Chief.  
 
In August 2020, Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson was transferred to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 13, MCAS Yuma, AZ where he assumed the duties and responsibilities as the Aviation Supply Chief. In August 2021, he assumed the duties as the squadron Sergeant Major. 
 
Master Gunnery Sergeant Robinson's personal decorations include the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three Gold Stars in lieu of fourth award, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of second award and Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three Gold Stars in lieu of fourth award.
